Noesis | Education (or nED) is the academic arm of Noesis Interactive. The goal of nED is to offer high quality, video-based courseware to academic institutions currently offering - or interested in offering - their students a game development track, certificate or degree. Noesis video courseware is industry proven and used widely throughout the game modding community. Many students have purchased Noesis offerings independently as supplemental materials to aid in school projects or as enrichment tools while pursuing industry jobs.
With the ongoing success of students, modders and indie-developers in mind, Noesis (via its nED initiative) is proud to offer complete track-oriented courseware utilizing our Valve Source® family of educational materials bundled with course outlines, online quizzes, class assessments, instructor notes and teaching aids. Courses are designed to build upon each other as well as work independently in support of existing curricula.
nED courses stress learning industry standard tools, largely outside the classroom, using video coursware instead of conventional textbooks. This allows students a more immediate and constant visual guide in tune with today's student's expectations. It also allows professors and instructors to spend more of their in class time teaching creativity while working closely with students on practical projects. Working as a team helps students develop much sought after "soft skills" integral to real world employment, while a project-based curriculum provides students a portfolio while allowing them to discover their strengths and interests.
Noesis Interactive is the premier developer of Video Courseware and training materials for game modders and indie-developers. Noesis is dedicated to improving gaming related education worldwide and preparing its users for industry careers or independent production. Noesis is based in the California San Francisco Bay Area, just minutes from Silicon Valley. For more information, visit www.noesisinteractive.com. |
